Article: Substance use among refugees - Points of contact for care by addiction support facilities
PREPARE - Subproject 1
This article provides information on the status to date of the PREPARE research project between 2019 and 2021. The findings to date inform substance use prevention services primarily among refugee men and their backgrounds of use. It contributes to the methodological advancement of helpful strategies for sufferers and helpers. By way of example, the article compiled a number of addiction support facilities that are already implementing various "good practice" strategies and are doing a good job of reaching and serving refugee men. The collection of project profiles, which can serve as inspiration for other facilities, can be viewed here.
