With this brochure, the editors want to contribute to greater transparency in the German drug help system, which is sometimes difficult to understand.
In the vista gGmbH network, 25 facilities and projects from different psychosocial fields work together. As a large addiction support organisation in Berlin (vista - Verbund für integrative soziale und therapeutische Arbeit), it has been involved for many years in the field of culturally sensitive and mother-tongue counselling of people at risk of addiction and people with addiction problems with a migration background. One focus is counselling and care for Russian-speaking help-seekers.
From their many years of experience, it is known what difficulties and hurdles exist, especially for people from the former CIS states, when seeking professional help. The ШAHCCHANCE project, which was funded by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), is intended to facilitate access to the addiction support system for Russian-speaking help seekers. This brochure was also published within the framework of this project.
