Pashto, also known as Pashtu or formerly referred to as Afghan, is one of the official languages in Afghanistan. The once contiguous region where the Pashtuns were originally settled was separated by the colonial policies of the British Empire in the late 19th century, which also led to the spread of Pashto into Pakistan.

The Pashto language utilizes the Persian alphabet and is written from right to left, much like the Arabic script. While Pashto lacks a standardized variety, a consistent spelling system has nevertheless developed across the language area.

The Berlin Addiction Prevention Center (Fachstelle für Suchtprävention in Berlin) has produced an informative flyer designed specifically for both men and women. This pamphlet compiles valuable recommendations and advice for promoting mental health.
