Substance (mis)use among refugees as a matter of social ecology: insights into a multi-site rapid assessment in Germany
This study incorporates previous research from the abusive substance use among forcibly displaced populations.
Yet, little research has been conducted within a socioecological framework aimed at identifying and understanding the factors that influence substance abuse in the context of postmigration in high-income countries. The paper aims to develop an understanding of the linkages and underlying mechanisms between the socio-ecological determinants of refugee populations and substance misuse.
