The ASSIST was developed on behalf of the World Health Organization (WHO) as a tool to support early detection of substance use-related health risks and substance use disorders.
It captures frequency of substance use, perceptions of use, and substance-related problems and dependence.
There is an English manual and its Turkish translation. A German version of the questionnaire can be found in an article that is available for a fee or from subscribing libraries.
