Instrument: Alcohol, smoking and substance involvement screening test (ASSIST)
Manuel à l'usage des soins primaires
The ASSIST was developed on behalf of the World Health Organization (WHO) as an instrument for the early detection of risks and disorders caused by substance use.
It records the frequency of substance use, the perception of use as well as substance-related problems and dependence.
An English-language manual is available. A German version of the questionnaire can be found in an article that is available for a fee or from subscribing libraries.
The French version of the questionnaire has been validated (Khan et al. 2011).
The adapted questionnaire in French is not available.
