Instrument: Alcohol, smoking and substance involvement screening test (ASSIST)
Standardisierter Fragebogen zur Erfassung von Suchtmittelkonsum
The ASSIST was developed on behalf of the World Health Organization (WHO) as a tool to support early detection of substance use-related health risks and substance use disorders in primary care, general medical care, and other settings.
It captures frequency of substance use, perception of use, aswell as substance-related problems and dependence.
An english-language manual is available. A German version of the questionnaire, translated according to WHO specifications, can be found in an article that is available for a fee or from subscribing libraries.
